Tasks
- Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered
- Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowel
- Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to base
- Align and straighten tiles
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
- Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
- Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires and brackets
- Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite
- Mix, lay and polish terra surfaces
- Install tile strips

Responsibilities
Prepare and mark surfaces, mix and apply adhesives, set and align tiles, and cut tiles to fit around obstacles and openings. Repair damaged tiles, install underbeds and anchoring hardware, and cut, polish, and install marble, granite, and terrazzo.
Requirements
Requires 2 to less than 3 years of experience; no degree, certificate, or diploma is required. Applicants need a valid driver's licence and must be able to handle physically demanding work, heavy loads, and detailed tasks; steel-toed safety boots, a hard hat, and personal tools are required.
