Original job description

We are seeking an experienced Organizational Change Manager to support enterprise-wide business and IT initiatives. The successful candidate will lead organizational change management activities using the Prosci/ADKAR methodology, helping stakeholders and employees successfully transition to new systems, processes, and ways of working.

This role will work closely with Project Managers, Business Leads, project teams, sponsors, and stakeholders to assess the impact of change, develop and execute change management strategies, and ensure organizational readiness and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute Organizational Change Management (OCM) strategies and plans aligned with Prosci/ADKAR methodology.
Assess the magnitude and impact of organizational changes from current state to future state.
Conduct change impact assessments, stakeholder assessments, and readiness assessments.
Identify potential risks, issues, resistance, and barriers to successful adoption and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
Develop and maintain OCM deliverables, including:
Change Management Strategy
Change Management Plan
Communication Plan
Training Plan
Sponsor Engagement Plan
Readiness Assessments
Resistance Management Plan
Reinforcement Plan
Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, discussions, and change impact sessions.
Work closely with Project Managers, Business Leads, sponsors, and project teams to integrate change management activities into overall project plans and timelines.
Develop communications and engagement activities to support awareness, understanding, and adoption of organizational changes.
Support training planning and coordinate change-related learning activities.
Monitor organizational readiness and adoption throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide recommendations and change management expertise to support successful project delivery.
Maintain accurate OCM documentation in accordance with project standards and methodologies.
Work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional project teams.
Share knowledge and best practices to continuously improve organizational change management practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Prosci/ADKAR certification is required.
Formal training in Organizational Change Management.
Proven experience leading enterprise-wide organizational change management initiatives.
Demonstrated experience supporting IT, technology, or digital transformation projects.
Strong experience developing and delivering:
Change Management Strategies and Plans
Change Impact Assessments
Communication Plans
Training Plans
Readiness Assessments
Sponsor Engagement Plans
Resistance Management Plans
Reinforcement Plans
Experience identifying stakeholder impacts, risks, issues, and resistance to change.
Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
Experience working with Project Managers, Business Leads, executives, sponsors, and cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple OCM activities across project initiatives.
North American professional experience preferred.

Preferred Experience

The following experience would be considered an asset:

Utilities, energy, oil & gas, or natural gas industry experience.
Experience with natural gas transmission and storage organizations.
Experience supporting large-scale technology or business transformation programs.
Experience working in complex enterprise environments.
Experience developing and delivering change management workshops, training, and stakeholder engagement sessions.
