Role Description The System Administrator role at Alrevo is a full-time, on-site position based in Vaughan, ON. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining servers, networks, and core IT infrastructure to ensure stable, secure, and high-performing systems. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring system health, applying updates and patches, managing user accounts and permissions, handling backups and recovery procedures, and implementing security best practices. The System Administrator will diagnose and resolve technical issues, provide hands-on support to internal teams, and collaborate with other IT professionals on infrastructure improvements and automation initiatives. This position also involves documenting configurations, procedures, and incidents, and contributing to continuous optimization of Alrevo’s IT environment.

Qualifications

Strong system administration skills, including managing servers, operating systems, and virtualization platforms.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support to diagnose, prioritize, and resolve hardware, software, and configuration issues.
Experience with network administration, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and basic network security practices.
Solid foundation in information technology concepts, such as infrastructure, cloud services, security, backup, and disaster recovery.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, VMware, Cisco, CompTIA) are an asset.
Ability to work on-site in Vaughan, ON, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and reliability.
Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
