Original job description

Req ID:532392

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Student Tax Trainee in St-Bruno

At Alstom, we build what millions depend on daily - rail transportation systems that can't afford to fail. We're more than 85,000 people worldwide creating the industry's most diverse portfolio: high-speed trains, metros, trams, maintenance services and integrated systems.

More than a job: a mission

We’re seeking a proactive Student Tax Trainee ready to learn and contribute to Alstom’s tax compliance operations in St-Bruno. You’ll work alongside professionals who bring passion, precision, and collaboration to every task.

Your role, your impact

Assist in preparing accounting analyses supporting intercompany transfer pricing arrangements.
Contribute to the preparation of Canadian corporate income tax and partnership returns.
Provide documentation and support during tax audits.
Assist the Tax Director and Manager with daily tax operations.
Help enhance internal tax processes and reporting accuracy.

You’ll collaborate with committed teams solving complex financial challenges that ensure Alstom’s global compliance and efficiency in the railway sector.

What you bring

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in accounting or a related field.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking.
Proficiency with Excel tools such as PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
Interest in taxation and continuous learning.
Ability to work effectively in both French and English.

How success is measured

Accurate and timely delivery of tax-related documentation.
Positive collaboration with cross-functional departments.
Demonstrated growth in technical and analytical tax knowledge.

Alstom, a great place to grow

Develop hands-on expertise within a global transportation leader.
Gain exposure to advanced financial systems and cross-border processes in St-Bruno.
Grow your professional skills through mentorship and structured learning opportunities.

Here, progress isn't always easy - the scale is massive, the tasks are complex - but the impact is real. Because when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects - that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!

Important to note

As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
