Original job description

At Alstom, we build what millions depend on daily - rail transportation systems that can't afford to fail. We're more than 85,000 people worldwide creating the industry's most diverse portfolio: high-speed trains, metros, trams, maintenance services and integrated systems.

More Than a Job: A Mission

We seek a passionate EHS Manager to drive excellence in environmental, health, and safety standards, designing and implementing robust solutions alongside dedicated teams. As a professional and team manager, you will own complex challenges and contribute to a legacy of safe, sustainable mobility.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed safety culture and share best practices.
  • Monitor and enhance reliability of EHS systems, reducing incidents and ensuring operational integrity.
  • Lead innovation in risk assessment, hazard mitigation, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Promote knowledge sharing through training, workshops, and mentoring to elevate EHS awareness.

You'll work with sharp, committed teams solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility, ensuring seamless integration of business and technology.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of EHS management experience in industrial or transportation sectors.
  • Proficiency in EHS regulations, risk assessment tools, and incident management systems.
  • Strong understanding of safety management systems, compliance frameworks, and sustainability principles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.

How Success Is Measured

  • Timely delivery of EHS initiatives aligned with strategic goals.
  • Effective collaboration and leadership within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Reduction in incidents, improved efficiency, and proactive troubleshooting.

Alstom, A Great Place to Grow

  • Work with advanced technologies and contribute to Alstom’s strategic vision for sustainable mobility.
  • Make a global impact from Willowbrook, connecting communities and shaping safer environments.
  • Advance your career through continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
