Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

With growing activities in Canada to meet the increasing demand for sustainable transportation, Alstom is looking for motivated candidates who will help us leverage our expertise and apply it locally.

Are you ready to shape the future of a cutting-edge industry?

We are looking for a strategic Finance Project Manager to join our team in St-Bruno. This is more than a finance role; it’s an opportunity to be a key architect in the success of high-stakes, multi-million-dollar projects within a rapidly evolving field.

Your Future role

As a leader of financial strategy, you won’t just report on numbers - you’ll drive them. You will take full ownership of Project Financial KPIs (Cash, Sales, and Margin), turning complex data into actionable insights. By identifying risks and capturing opportunities, you will be the primary voice ensuring management stays ahead of the curve.

Day-to-Day, you’re acting as a vital bridge between Project Management, Engineering, and Procurement. Working alongside a team of dedicated professionals in a fast-paced, multi-site environment to provide the financial oversight necessary to keep massive infrastructure projects on track.

You are a strategic navigator with a sharp analytical mind. You bring 3 to 5 years of experience in project control, specifically within the lifecycle of long-term, complex projects. As a collaborative team player with excellent English communication skills, you thrive in multinational, multi-site environments, you are our ideal candidate.

Work location: Saint-Bruno (South Shore of Montréal)

Status : Permanent/full time (40h)

Hybrid : 3 days in office / 2 days remote

We’ll look to you for

· Acting as a business partner to provide finance advice, guidance, and tutoring to the core project team

· Forecasting, challenging and approving Project Financial KPIs

· Controlling the project gross margin through detailed reviews

· Communicating with stakeholders to provide reliable business cases

· Ensuring Compliance with local regulations, especially for tax and statutory accounts purposes

 All about you

We value passion and attitude as much as experience. Here what we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

· Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or similar

· Knowledge of project accounting and project performance

· Proficiency in MS Excel, SAP (nice to have) or equivalent financial software & planning tools

· Bilingualism French/English

· A CPA certification is an asset.

Things you’ll enjoy in this role and working at ALSTOM

· Contribute to innovative projects

· Challenges free from unexciting daily routines

· Enjoy stability throughout your journey with us as the rail industry is here to stay

· Grow and develop new skills through award-winning learning

· Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

· Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).

Knowledge of a language other than French is an asset when dealing with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues and customers. In Quebec, French remains the main working language of our company.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
