Original job description

Project Contract Manager in Saint-Bruno

At Alstom, we build what millions depend on daily - rail transportation systems that can't afford to fail. We're more than 85,000 people worldwide creating the industry's most diverse portfolio: high-speed trains, metros, trams, maintenance services and integrated systems.

More than a job: a mission

As a Project Contract Manager in Saint-Bruno, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success and integrity of our rail projects. Working as a key member of the Project Core Team, you will partner closely with Project Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to safeguard Alstom's contractual and commercial interests while enabling successful project delivery.

Your work will help secure journeys and connect communities, making a lasting impact on mobility and infrastructure.

Your role, Your impact

Lead contract and claims management activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, Alstom governance, and project requirements.
Develop and implement proactive strategies related to claims, variation orders, contract amendments, extensions of time (EoTs), and commercial risk management.
Monitor project performance against contractual commitments, identify risks and opportunities, and provide contractual guidance to support project success.
Manage contractual correspondence, notices, records, and claim documentation while supporting negotiations and protecting Alstom's commercial interests.
Collaborate with project, legal, finance, engineering, operations, and customer stakeholders to resolve complex contractual challenges and drive successful project outcomes.

You'll work with sharp, committed teams across engineering, operations, finance, legal and project delivery, solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility. As Project Contract Manager, you will be the key link between project execution and contractual success.

What you bring

Strong knowledge of contract and claims management within complex project, infrastructure, transportation, or industrial environments.
Ability to interpret, negotiate, and apply contractual terms and conditions while balancing commercial and operational priorities.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence across functions.
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a high level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
Experience managing contractual risks, opportunities, claims, change management activities, and competing priorities in dynamic project environments.

How success is measured

Effective execution of contract and claims management strategies and achievement of project contractual objectives.
Successful management and recovery of claims, variation orders, extensions of time, and other commercial opportunities.
Proactive identification and mitigation of contractual risks while protecting project profitability and performance.
Effective stakeholder engagement and timely resolution of contractual and commercial issues.
Contribution to continuous improvement, best practices, and overall project success.

Alstom, a great place to grow

Opportunities for continuous learning and professional development.
Inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives and teamwork.
Supportive environment for innovation and personal growth.
Exposure to complex, large-scale projects that accelerate career development.
The chance to contribute to sustainable mobility solutions that make a lasting impact.

Bilingualism

Proficiency in French and English is required. Knowledge of a third language is considered an asset when working with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues, and customers. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.

Here, progress isn't always easy - the scale is massive, the tasks are complex - but the impact is real.

Because when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects - that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts.
