Original job description

Req ID:531057

At Alstom, we build what millions depend on daily - rail transportation systems that can't afford to fail. We're more than 85,000 people worldwide creating the industry's most diverse portfolio: high-speed trains, metros, trams, maintenance services and integrated systems.

More Than a Job: A Mission

Take on a new challenge and apply your project management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, detail-oriented, and innovative teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the successful coordination and delivery of project activities. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (e.g., engineering, operations, and customer relations), manage project governance processes, and ensure seamless communication across subsystems, partners, and customers.

You’ll specifically take care of preparing and maintaining detailed project schedules, as well as creating and coordinating internal and external reports, but also supporting senior management in managing key information and facilitating project-related meetings.

Your Role, Your Impact

  • Reporting internal and external KPIs

  • Coordinating transversal internal and external reports

  • Developing and maintaining project schedules and regular reporting

  • Preparing and editing meeting minutes and presentations

  • Following up on tasks and ensuring deadlines are met

  • Applying analytical skills to compile summary documents, such as Monthly Progress Reports and Management Plans

  • Coordinating project governance issues across subsystems, partners, and customers

  • Ensuring compliance with Alstom’s internal reporting rules and customer requirements

What You Bring

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or an equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years of project coordination or project management experience

  • Strong Excel skills for project tracking and progress updates

  • CMMS experience such as Maximo, GSI, SAP.  Experience with Maximo is considered a valuable asset
  • Knowledge of project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Power BI, Visio, Macroprogramming language)

  • PMP certification is considered a valuable asset
  • Quality management exposure or quality-focused experience is considered a valuable asset

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across teams

  • Ability to anticipate challenges and provide clear, proactive reporting

  • A team-oriented mindset with a focus on conflict resolution

  • Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence required, with the ability to operate company-owned or authorised vehicles.

  • Ability and willingness to work at both Etobicoke and Whitby locations based on operational needs.

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $90,000 - $100,000 CAD per year. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
