Your Role, Your Impact

  • Oversee scalable engineering solutions for large, multi-disciplinary rail projects, ensuring alignment with global standards and local requirements.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration between engineering, operations, and client stakeholders to deliver integrated project outcomes.
  • Ensure reliability and safety by implementing rigorous quality assurance and risk management processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Champion innovation by introducing new technologies and methodologies to enhance project performance and efficiency.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within engineering teams, mentoring future leaders and building technical excellence.

You'll work with sharp, committed teams solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility, ensuring seamless integration of business and technology.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field, with professional engineering accreditation preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering management, ideally within rail, transportation, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in systems engineering, project management tools, and relevant industry standards (e.g., CENELEC, ISO, PMBOK).
  • Deep understanding of project delivery, risk management, and lifecycle cost optimization in complex environments.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with a proven ability to drive teams toward ambitious goals.

How Success Is Measured

  • On-time, on-budget delivery of project milestones and strategic objectives.
  • Effective team leadership and cross-functional collaboration driving project success.
  • Reduction in defects, proactive troubleshooting, and measurable improvements in project efficiency.

Alstom, A Great Place to Grow

  • Work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to Alstom’s strategic vision for sustainable mobility.
  • Make a global impact from our Toronto office, delivering solutions that connect communities worldwide.
  • Advance your career through continuous learning, leadership development, and exposure to international best practices.
  • Comp: $130k - 160k

Here, progress isn't always easy but the impact is real. Because the scale is massive, the tasks are complex when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts.
