At Alstom, we build what millions depend on daily - rail transportation systems that can't afford to fail. We're more than 85,000 people worldwide creating the industry's most diverse portfolio: high-speed trains, metros, trams, maintenance services and integrated systems.

More Than a Job: A Mission

We seek a passionate Obsolescence Management Engineer to drive the design and development of robust solutions that ensure the longevity and reliability of our rail systems. Join dedicated teams committed to tackling complex challenges and making a lasting impact on transportation infrastructure.

Your Role, Your Impact

  • Develop scalable strategies to identify and mitigate obsolescence risks across rail assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of solutions.
  • Establish and maintain reliable processes for monitoring component lifecycles and system health.
  • Champion innovation by implementing advanced tools and methodologies for proactive obsolescence management.
  • Share knowledge and best practices to build organizational expertise and foster continuous improvement.

You'll work with sharp, committed teams solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility, ensuring seamless integration of business and technology.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, electronics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in obsolescence management or asset lifecycle engineering.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment, data analysis, and obsolescence tracking tools.
  • Strong understanding of rail industry standards, component lifecycle, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.

How Success Is Measured

  • Timely delivery of obsolescence mitigation plans aligned with strategic goals.
  • Effective collaboration and leadership within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Reduction in system defects and increased operational efficiency through proactive management.

Alstom, A Great Place to Grow

  • Work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to Alstom’s strategic vision.
  • Make a global impact from our Saint Bruno office, connecting communities.
  • Advance your career through continuous learning and professional development.

Knowledge of a language other than French is an asset when dealing with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues and customers. In Quebec, French remains the main working language of our company.

Here, progress isn't always easy but the impact is real. Because the scale is massive, the tasks are complex when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts.
