Original job description

Req ID:527104

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Software Quality Metier Manager in Saint-Bruno

At Alstom, we build what millions depend on daily - rail transportation systems that can't afford to fail. We're more than 85 000 people worldwide creating the industry's most diverse portfolio: high-speed trains, metros, trams, maintenance services and integrated systems.

More than a job: a mission

As a Software Quality Metier Manager in Saint-Bruno, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our software solutions. Your leadership will help connect cities and communities by delivering quality that supports seamless mobility for all.

Your role, Your impact

Lead the software quality strategy and implementation for critical rail projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets rigorous industry standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software reliability and performance.
Monitor and report on quality metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Champion a culture of quality, safety, and customer focus across all project phases.

You'll work with sharp, committed teams across engineering, operations, and design - solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility. As Software Quality Metier Manager, you will ensure our software solutions are robust, secure, and ready for tomorrow's journeys.

This position requires on-site presence 3 days per week. Several shuttles are provided by Alstom between Montreal and the St-Bruno site to facilitate the commute.

What you bring

Proven experience in software quality management within complex engineering environments.
Strong leadership skills in building and developing high-performing teams.
Ability to drive change and inspire stakeholders towards quality excellence.
Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering fit-for-purpose solutions.
Excellent communication and collaborative influencing skills across diverse teams.

How success is measured

Achievement of software quality targets and compliance with industry standards.
Effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
Continuous improvement in software reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Alstom, a great place to grow

Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
Inclusive, supportive teams that value diverse perspectives and innovation.
Meaningful work that leaves a lasting impact on communities and mobility worldwide.

Here, progress isn't always easy - the scale is massive, the tasks are complex - but the impact is real.

Because when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects - that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts.

Bilingualism

Proficiency in French and English is required. Knowledge of a third language is considered an asset when working with our international partners, suppliers, colleagues, and customers. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!

Important to note

As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
