Original job description

AltaSteel is seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated HR Coordinator to join our dedicated HR team. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the HR functions, from recruitment to benefits management and other various administrative duties.

Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, conducting reference checks and sending offer letters.
Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a seamless transition.
Draft and proof read organizational documents such as policies and memorandums.
Maintain accurate employee records in the HSE Database and act as the SharePoint library administrator.
Ability to run reports from the HRIS system as needed.
Enter purchase requisitions and complete monthly invoicing.
Support in benefit administration, including enrollment changes and responding to employee queries.
Update information and provide administrative support as needed.
Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
Highly detail oriented and able to follow and understand policies and procedures.
Administrative experience is considered an asset.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint considered an asset.
Experience working with HRIS considered an asset.
Logical, highly organized, focused and able to multi-task effectively within tight timelines.
Self-motivated - able to work independently and without supervision, and also to act as a team player with a helpful and positive attitude.
Outgoing, friendly, professional personality with excellent verbal & written communication skill.

Office hours are 7:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
100% in office.
