Providing precision, transparency, and speed, the platform services institutional buyers, sellers, intermediaries, and legal counsel. AltConvey has supported over $2.1 billion in limited partnership transfers, with solutions from portfolio staging to post-closing. Our aim is to digitize secondary market workflows end-to-end, allowing AI to handle routine tasks while humans focus on critical decisions.

Position: Full Stack Engineer

Location: Based in Montreal, hybride

Type: Full-Time

What You'll Do

As Tech Lead, you'll partner directly with our CTO to architect, build, and scale transformative web applications in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Your role will empower you to:

Lead the development team, guiding engineers through project lifecycles and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Develop and optimize robust front-end and back-end systems using React, Vite, Java, Spring Boot, and MongoDB, ensuring scalability and performance.
Own end-to-end product features, from ideation to deployment, delivering high-quality, maintainable code that sets industry standards.
Seamlessly integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services, while harnessing AWS for resilient cloud infrastructure.
Influence key architecture decisions, foster innovation, and mentor junior engineers to elevate the team's capabilities.
Proactively troubleshoot complex issues, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement in a collaborative setting.

What We're Looking For

We're targeting the best software engineering talent. Ideal candidates bring:

Experience: 5+ years in full-stack development, with proven leadership in tech teams (3+ years for emerging leads ready to step up).
Tech Stack:
Front-End: Expert-level proficiency in React and Vite, with a focus on user-centric design.
Back-End: Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot for building enterprise-grade solutions.
Database: Hands-on experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases for handling complex data.
Cloud: Strong command of AWS services, including deployment and optimization.
Tools: Proficiency with Git, Docker, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a track record of conquering intricate technical challenges.
Self-motivated with stellar communication skills, thriving in a fully remote, asynchronous work model.
Leadership mindset: Experience guiding teams, code reviews, and fostering a culture of excellence.
Bonus: Startup experience, agile methodologies, DevOps tools like Terraform, or contributions to open-source projects.
