Project Details:

• Support Data & AI architecture for operational areas, mainly claims and underwriting
• Design end-to-end solutions combining Data and AI
• Key use case around document parsing, analysis and summarization across PDFs, images and emails
• Build reusable Data & AI capabilities across operational teams

Deliverables:

• Design and evolve Data & AI solution architectures
• Define architecture patterns, blueprints and implementation strategies
• Design AI/ML and GenAI solutions
• Work closely with development teams to validate architecture implementation
• Review code and cloud implementations without being responsible for development
• Maintain architecture roadmaps and standards
• Assess technologies, risks, costs and build-vs-buy options
• Coordinate business, technical and delivery stakeholders

Project environment / Technologies:

• AWS: Lambda, S3, EC2, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, SageMaker, Agent Core
• GenAI: AWS Bedrock, Agent Core, Mosaic AI, OpenAI
• AI: LangChain, LangGraph
• Data / ML: Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, PyTorch, Iceberg, Data Vault
• Containers / Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes / OKE, Terraform
• Architecture / Practices: TOGAF, CGI RCDA, Agile, DevSecOps, MLOps, event-driven architecture

Minimum experience:

• 10+ years combining architecture and senior technical experience
• 2–3 years of architecture may be sufficient with a strong senior background in development, data engineering or data science

Languages:

• English required
• French preferred for Montreal / Quebec City
• English only acceptable for Toronto / Mississauga

Must-have skills

1. Strong Data & AI architecture experience
2. Strong AWS / cloud architecture experience
3. Strong technical background, with ability to understand code, cloud deployments and practical implementation
4. Strong AI/ML architecture knowledge, including model lifecycle, ML pipelines, SageMaker and/or Databricks
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand business needs and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams

In accordance with our compensation practices, ALTEN is providing the salary range associated with this opportunity. Final compensation will be determined after considering several factors, including professional experience, skill set, educational background, certifications, and geographic market conditions. The current target salary range for this role is $100/HR
