Job Requirements
CGP (Controlled Goods) Clearance: Required (active or ability to obtain)
Project Context
The NPI Lead will support the transfer of new products from engineering into manufacturing, ensuring processes, tooling, work instructions, and production methods are ready for efficient and compliant production. This role will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality, and Program teams to industrialize new aerospace products, support product transfers, and drive continuous process improvements throughout the production lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the introduction of new aerospace PCB and electronic assembly products into manufacturing, ensuring a smooth transition from design to production.
Coordinate product transfer activities, including process development, manufacturing readiness reviews, and implementation planning.
Develop, refine, and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Analyze production workflows, capacity, labor utilization, and material flow to identify and implement process improvements.
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and support project milestones.
Track project progress using Microsoft Project and Excel, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and action items remain on schedule.
Support continuous improvement and industrialization initiatives focused on improving efficiency, reducing waste, and increasing production throughput.
Candidate Requirements
5-6 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrialization, NPI, Process Engineering, or a similar manufacturing-focused role.
Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI), product transfers, or manufacturing implementation projects within an aerospace or regulated manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process improvement methodologies, and industrialization principles.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and ERP systems (Epicor experience is a strong asset).
Ability to obtain or currently hold CGP (Controlled Goods Program) clearance.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Experience with DO-160, DO-254, PCB/PCBA manufacturing, or electronic assembly processes.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Project teams) while clearly communicating priorities, risks, and project updates.
Strong problem-solving skills to investigate manufacturing challenges, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
Self-driven, able to manage multiple tasks and timelines independently, and capable of advancing projects without direct authority over team members.
