Project Context

The Test Equipment Specialist will support a site consolidation initiative, assessing the compatibility of existing aerospace test equipment for transfer from a North American facility to a manufacturing site in the EU. The role involves evaluating equipment against European electrical, power supply, and regulatory requirements, identifying necessary modifications, and developing implementation plans to ensure safe and effective deployment while minimizing operational disruption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess equipment against European electrical, power supply, and regulatory requirements to identify gaps and compliance risks.
  • Develop modification plans and technical recommendations to adapt equipment for EU operation.
  • Conduct equipment audits and asset assessments to determine scope of work, required upgrades, and implementation priorities.
  • Review electrical schematics, technical documentation, and equipment specifications to validate compatibility with European standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, equipment owners, and external vendors to define modification requirements and execution plans.
  • Manage project timelines, action items, risks, and deliverables related to the equipment transfer and conversion initiative.
  • Maintain asset tracking, equipment records, and project documentation to support a successful site transition.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience with industrial, manufacturing, or test equipment involving electrical and electronic systems.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and assess electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Experience leading or supporting technical projects involving equipment upgrades, transfers, installations, or facility transitions.
  • Knowledge of electrical power systems, including power distribution, voltage requirements, and equipment compatibility considerations.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience working with European electrical standards, CE requirements, or equipment deployments within Europe.
  • Aerospace manufacturing or aerospace test equipment experience.
  • Experience with asset management, equipment lifecycle management, or capital equipment projects.

Soft Skills

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, timelines, risks, and deliverables while keeping the project on track.
  • Ability to assess technical equipment challenges, identify gaps between North American and European requirements, and develop practical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with engineering teams, operations, vendors, and international stakeholders.
