Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior JIVS Developer to support the extraction, transformation, archiving, and controlled retirement of legacy SAP systems using the JIVS Information Management Platform (JIVS IMP).

The successful candidate will design and implement secure, auditable data-archiving solutions that preserve access to historical SAP information while supporting regulatory retention, business reporting, legal discovery, and legacy-application decommissioning.

This role will work closely with SAP functional teams, data architects, infrastructure, cybersecurity, records management, business stakeholders, and the SAP S/4HANA transformation program.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, develop, and support SAP data-archiving solutions using JIVS IMP.
Extract structured and unstructured information from SAP ECC and other legacy applications.
Analyze SAP tables, relationships, business objects, transactions, attachments, and historical reporting requirements.
Develop data-extraction, transformation, mapping, validation, and loading processes.
Configure JIVS data structures, views, reports, search capabilities, user access, and retention rules.
Preserve the business context and relationships between archived SAP records.
Reconstruct historical business transactions such as purchase orders, work orders, invoices, financial documents, customer records, asset records, and maintenance history.
Establish reconciliation controls that demonstrate the completeness and accuracy of archived information.
Perform record-count, control-total, financial-balance, and document-level reconciliation.
Support the archiving of SAP attachments and documents from repositories such as OpenText, SAP Content Server, ArchiveLink, or other content-management platforms.
Develop interfaces between JIVS and enterprise identity, reporting, security, and records-management solutions.
Implement role-based access controls and protect sensitive, financial, employee, and customer information.
Configure retention, legal-hold, disposition, and deletion requirements in collaboration with Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and Records Management.
Support audit inquiries, regulatory reporting, litigation discovery, and historical business-data retrieval.
Diagnose and resolve extraction, transformation, performance, reconciliation, and data-access issues.
Prepare technical designs, data mappings, configuration documents, test scripts, operating procedures, and support documentation.
Support unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing, and production deployment.
Participate in cutover planning, mock conversions, production migrations, stabilization, and operational handover.
Support the controlled decommissioning of legacy SAP environments after archive completeness and accessibility have been confirmed.
Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to internal application-support and data-management teams.

Required Qualifications

Five or more years of experience with SAP data management, data migration, archiving, or legacy-system retirement.
Hands-on implementation or development experience with JIVS IMP.
Strong understanding of SAP ECC data structures and relationships.
Experience working with SAP functional data across one or more areas, such as:

Materials Management and Procurement
Plant Maintenance or Enterprise Asset Management
Sales and Distribution

Customer service or utility-industry solutions
Experience extracting information from SAP databases, application tables, archives, and document repositories.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
Experience with data mapping, transformation, reconciliation, and validation.
Understanding of SAP Archive Development Kit, ArchiveLink, SAP ILM, or comparable archiving technologies.
Knowledge of records-retention, privacy, security, legal-hold, and defensible-deletion requirements.
Experience supporting complex enterprise transformations or SAP S/4HANA programs.
Ability to translate business retrieval requirements into secure and usable archive solutions.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ABAP development or SAP technical analysis.
Experience archiving data from multiple SAP and non-SAP applications.
Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA migration and selective data-transition strategies.
Experience with OpenText, SAP Content Server, document-management platforms, or enterprise content repositories.
Familiarity with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, SAP HANA, or other enterprise databases.
Experience with data-profiling, ETL, reporting, and reconciliation tools.
Understanding of Canadian privacy, financial-record, utility, or regulated-industry retention requirements.
Experience working in the energy, utility, infrastructure, government, banking, or other regulated sectors.
Relevant SAP, database, cloud, data-management, or JIVS certifications.
