Original job description

Location: Richmond, BC, 100% On-site - Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Language: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Duration: Contract, initially 1 month with potential for extension based on business needs

Background Check Requirement: Two professional references and a criminal background check

About the Opportunity

Join a collaborative finance team within a well-established Healthcare Manufacturing organization during an exciting period of transformation. As the team adapts to a newly implemented Microsoft Dynamics system, you'll play an important role in helping maintain day-to-day operations while supporting a busy Accounts Payable function.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting student or early-career finance professional looking to build practical Accounts Payable experience. You'll work alongside a supportive team that values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and helping one another succeed. As your skills grow, you'll have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and expand your accounting experience.

Your Responsibilities

You'll support the Accounts Payable team by printing, organizing, and processing invoices.

You'll transfer invoices and related documentation into the organization's imaging system.

You'll assist with accurate data entry and maintain invoice records during a busy transition period.

You'll update vendor information and profiles as your experience develops.

You'll provide general administrative support to help the finance team manage a high-volume backlog.

Skills and Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits and credits.

Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills.

Previous administrative or accounting support experience is considered an asset.

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is an asset but not required.

Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team.
