Working closely with the Construction Manager and a collaborative Construction & Maintenance team, you'll play an important role in maintaining and enhancing residential and commercial properties while delivering projects that positively impact the communities they serve.

What's In It for You

  • Comprehensive extended health benefits and an Employee and Family Assistance Program.
  • Group RRSP with competitive employer matching.
  • Ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Exposure to diverse construction projects within an established, collaborative organization.

Your Responsibilities

  • You'll manage construction, capital renewal, rehabilitation, and redevelopment projects from initial planning through commissioning and closeout.
  • You'll develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, cost estimates, and technical specifications while identifying risks and opportunities.
  • You'll lead procurement, RFPs, contractor selection, contract negotiations, and contract administration.
  • You'll coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, municipal authorities, and internal stakeholders.
  • You'll oversee project financials, monitor progress, manage change orders, and ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • You'll conduct property assessments and site inspections, resolve construction challenges, and manage permitting, deficiencies, and warranty requirements.
  • You'll provide project updates to leadership and mentor Project Coordinators and other team members.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building systems, contract administration, Ontario Building Code requirements, OHSA, accessibility standards, and safety regulations.
  • Proven experience with procurement, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, permitting, and multi-stakeholder project delivery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and construction management software. AutoCAD and Bluebeam experience are assets.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Current WHMIS and Standard First Aid/CPR certifications, a valid Ontario Class G driver's licence, and access to a reliable vehicle. Additional safety certifications are assets.
  • PMP, Gold Seal, or CET designation is an asset, along with experience in property management, housing, or public-sector environments and knowledge of sustainability and asset lifecycle management.
