About the Opportunity

Join a collaborative Human Resources team within the post-secondary education sector as a Bilingual HR Assistant, where you'll play an important role in supporting employees throughout their employment journey. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized and service-oriented HR professional who enjoys balancing administrative responsibilities with meaningful employee support.

Working closely with the HR team, you'll contribute to day-to-day operations while helping maintain accurate employee records, supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, and ensuring HR processes run smoothly. As an HR Assistant, you'll be part of an environment that values collaboration, professionalism, and continuous learning.

Your Responsibilities

You'll provide day-to-day administrative support to the Human Resources team, including preparing documentation, maintaining files, and coordinating HR activities

You'll support recruitment and onboarding by scheduling interviews, preparing employment documentation, and assisting with new hire processes

You'll maintain accurate employee information within the HR information system and ensure records remain current and confidential

You'll respond to employee inquiries and provide timely support on HR-related requests

You'll assist with payroll administration by entering data and supporting reporting requirements

You'll prepare reports, monitor HR documentation, and contribute to ongoing HR projects and process improvements

Skills and Qualifications

1+ year of experience in human resources, administration, or a related support role

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Bilingual communication skills in English and French, both written and verbal

Experience providing excellent customer service in a professional environment

Experience using an HRIS, ADP, or a similar system is considered an asset

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, along with excellent organizational and time management skills

High level of professionalism, discretion, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information
