About the Opportunity

Altis Recruitment is partnering with a high-performing organization in the financial services sector to find a Strategic Projects & Events Lead. This is a unique opportunity for someone who loves bringing complex ideas to life, connecting the dots between people and priorities, and taking full ownership of high-profile initiatives.

Working closely with a senior executive, you’ll lead projects spanning events, philanthropy, external engagements, partnerships and special initiatives. Some may take weeks, others several months. You’ll be the person keeping everyone aligned, anticipating what comes next and ensuring the details are handled without losing sight of the bigger picture.

What’s In It for You

You’ll gain significant exposure to senior leaders and a broad network of external stakeholders while working on projects that rarely fit neatly into one function. This is an opportunity to build a role around your strengths, take on increasing responsibility and work in an energetic, collaborative environment where initiative and strong ideas are valued.

Your Responsibilities

You’ll lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects from planning through execution.
You’ll coordinate high-profile events, working with external event planners, vendors, partners and internal teams.
You’ll support philanthropic initiatives, fundraising activities and community engagements.
You’ll manage executive speaking engagements and other external opportunities, including research, briefing materials and logistics.
You’ll coordinate special operational projects involving external contractors and service providers.
You’ll serve as a key point of contact across senior executives, investors, donors, partners and other stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

5+ years of experience in project management, operations, events, experiential marketing, consulting or a related environment.
Proven ability to independently own complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Strong executive presence, communication and relationship-building skills.
Highly organized, responsive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Confident presenting recommendations and constructively challenging ideas.
Hands-on, resourceful approach with the ability to move between strategic thinking and detailed execution.
Flexibility for occasional evening or weekend commitments related to events.

Note from the Hiring Manager

“We’re looking for someone sharp, energetic and resourceful who can take an idea and run with it. You’ll work with a lot of different people, so we need someone who can confidently bring everyone together, keep things moving and stand behind their recommendations.”

Why Partner with Altis

If you’ve never worked with a staffing agency before, we make it easy. We work with top employers across Canada who have great jobs to fill, each vetted and verified by our team. When you apply for a job with Altis, we get to know you as a candidate and learn what your strengths are. Then, if you’re a solid match, we handle all the logistics, advocating for you as a candidate for the role, providing access to coaching and connecting you directly with the hiring manager. And rest assured, all our services are free of cost for candidates.
