You’ll work on embedded software for microcontroller platforms and collaborate closely with hardware engineers during board bring-up, testing, and system integration.

Your responsibilities

Develop, test, and debug embedded software on ARM Cortex and STM32 platforms.
Work on kernel-space and low-level firmware development.
Write device drivers and manage peripherals such as SPI, I2C, UART, and ADC.
Support board bring-up, hardware integration, and system testing.
Contribute to development activities related to functional safety and cybersecurity.
Apply standards such as ISO 26262 and MISRA when required.
Document source code, technical decisions, and development processes.
Take part in code reviews and technical improvement initiatives.

Your profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
At least 7 years of experience in embedded systems development.
Strong programming skills in C and C++.
Hands-on experience with RTOS or bare-metal firmware.
Experience with microcontroller-based products and low-level software.
Good knowledge of debugging tools and laboratory equipment.
Familiarity with functional safety, cybersecurity, ISO 26262, or MISRA is a plus.
Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written.
English is required because the person will work regularly with English-speaking teams and partners located outside Quebec. They will participate in meetings, explain operational issues, and coordinate activities in English. This language proficiency is therefore necessary to perform the main duties of the position.

Job Description

Amaris Consulting recherche un Développeur firmware senior pour rejoindre un projet consacré au développement de panneaux de détection incendie.

Vous travaillerez sur le développement de logiciels embarqués pour des plateformes à microcontrôleurs, en collaboration étroite avec les équipes hardware lors de la mise en route des cartes, des phases de test et de l’intégration système.

Vos responsabilités

Développer, tester et déboguer des logiciels embarqués sur des plateformes ARM Cortex et STM32.
Intervenir sur le développement firmware bas niveau et dans l’espace noyau.
Développer des pilotes et gérer des périphériques tels que SPI, I2C, UART et ADC.
Participer à la mise en route des cartes, à l’intégration hardware et aux tests système.
Contribuer aux activités liées à la sûreté de fonctionnement et à la cybersécurité.
Appliquer les normes ISO 26262 et MISRA lorsque cela est requis.
Documenter le code source, les choix techniques et les processus de développement.
Participer aux revues de code et aux initiatives d’amélioration technique.
Analyser les problèmes à l’aide d’outils de débogage, d’oscilloscopes et d’analyseurs logiques.

Votre profil

Diplôme d’école d’ingénieur ou Master en génie électrique, informatique industrielle, systèmes embarqués ou dans un domaine équivalent.
Au moins 7 ans d’expérience en développement de systèmes embarqués.
Très bonne maîtrise du C et du C++.
Expérience pratique avec un RTOS ou avec du firmware bare-metal.
Expérience des produits basés sur microcontrôleurs et du développement logiciel bas niveau.
Bonne connaissance des outils de débogage et des équipements de laboratoire.
La connaissance de la sûreté de fonctionnement, de la cybersécurité, de l’ISO 26262 ou de la norme MISRA est un plus.
Maîtrise courante du français et de l’anglais, à l’oral comme à l’écrit.
L’anglais est requis puisque la personne collaborera régulièrement avec des équipes et des partenaires anglophones situés à l’extérieur du Québec. Elle devra notamment participer à des rencontres, expliquer des enjeux opérationnels et coordonner des activités en anglais. Cette connaissance est donc nécessaire à l’accomplissement des tâches principales du poste.
