Software Development Engineer, Agent Labs

In this role, you'll lead the entire product development lifecycle - from conceptualization to implementation - working with the latest AI agent frameworks to create scalable solutions. Key job responsibilities
- Design and develop complex software solutions for AI agent systems, providing technical leadership through the full development lifecycle including design, code, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Lead other engineers on the team, mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative environment while ensuring high-quality deliverables that follow best practices
- Work with stakeholders to define product requirements, technical specifications, and architectural designs for new AI-powered customer experiences
- Implement operational excellence by identifying and resolving root causes of operational issues, balancing new feature development with operational improvements
- Document software architecture, implementation details, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and maintainability of the team's products


About the team
Our new team is focused on building a platform to support SDO's Agentic AI applications. We're working on greenfield projects that will revolutionize how Amazon leverages Agentic AI for customer benefit. Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred Qualifications: - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
