SDEs at Amazon work on real world problems on a global scale, own their systems end to end and influence the direction of our technology that impacts hundreds of millions customers around the world. At Amazon an SDE can expect to design flexible and scalable solutions, and work on some of the most complex challenges in large-scale computing by utilizing your skills in data structures, algorithms, and object oriented programming. About our team**:

The Charge Calculation team is a crucial part of Amazon's eCommerce foundation. We own systems integral to the full lifecycle of consumer purchasing on Amazon. Our team orchestrates charge calculations and provides comprehensive charge summaries to clients. We also own the model that defines charge representation in the workflow, impacting numerous up and downstream services in the purchase journey.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D insurance), Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and other resources to improve health and well-being.
