We are looking for software engineers who thrive on complex problems and relish the challenge of operating complex and mission critical systems. Our systems manage hundreds of millions of records, and responds to millions of service requests per minute. Do you think you are up to the challenge? You'd be expected to contribute to all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle, including design, development, documentation, testing and operations. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven and deliver high quality results in a fast paced environment. About the team
The Amazon Financial Foundation Services (AFFS) team is dedicated to empowering Amazon businesses with robust financial management capabilities. We are building the next generation of cloud-based core financial management suites that deliver complete, accurate, timely, and auditable financial records. Our solutions streamline financial reporting, operational processes (planning, analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable), tax compliance, statutory reporting, regulatory compliance, and managerial decision-making.

We focus on creating intuitive user experiences that leverage the power of AI, ML and LLMs. By harnessing these advanced technologies, we expedite financial business processes for Amazon stakeholders enabling them to operate with unparalleled efficiency and effectiveness. Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D insurance), Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and other resources to improve health and well-being.
