The Duty-Free store on the Canadian side of the Ambassador Bridge Plaza is one of the most exciting places to work in Windsor. Our store provides visiting guests with a unique shopping experience. Our offerings include designer fragrances from around the world, fine crystal, exquisite jewelry, clothing and accessories, and of course spirits and tobacco.
Ambassador Duty Free is currently seeking a Operations Supervisor, to become part of this fast paced, growth-oriented company and to help drive the future success of the organization.
SCHEDULE: PT Thurs-Sat 6pm-6am
Pay: 22.50/hr. + 2.00-night shift premium
Job Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Coaching, developing, counselling, and disciplining store employees.
Enforcing store policies and procedures to ensure operations are in compliance with legal requirements.
Overseeing availability of merchandise by maintaining store inventories.
Strategically displaying store items and running sales promotions to increase store profitability.
Creating and maintaining a safe, and clean work environment for employees and customers.
Identifying current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with customers.
Ensuring each guest receives excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Previous store supervising in a retail environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Problem solving, decision making, and analytical skills.
Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Willingness to be cross trained in each position within the store to be able to assist when needed.
Strong employee relations skills to handle employee issues and customer complaints.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time and move merchandise if necessary.
Ability to work holidays, nights and weekends.
Desire to surround customer with excellence in service.

Requirements
Previous retail store supervisory experience and strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, analytical, organizational, and employee-relations skills are sought. Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods, move merchandise when needed, cross-train in store positions, and work nights, weekends, and holidays.
