Original job description
As part of the Early Engagement team, you’ll help create the experiences and communications that welcome new Cardmembers, help them get the most from their membership, and build engagement throughout their first year.
This is a role for someone who enjoys combining innovation, customer insights, and execution. You’ll have the opportunity to own meaningful work from idea to launch, collaborate with teams across the organization, test new approaches, and use performance insights to continuously make the Cardmember experience better.
Responsibilities
You’ll play an active role in shaping and delivering our early-tenure marketing strategy, including:
- Innovate on future of onboarding. Digitize and transform the next iteration of welcome packages to Cardmembers and work on new functionalities and experiences on the Amex App and Online portal.
- Own campaigns from idea to launch. Lead end-to-end execution of marketing initiatives across digital and offline channels, partnering with creative agencies and internal teams along the way.
- Create meaningful customer experiences. Identify gaps and opportunities across the Cardmember journey and help develop, test, and launch new experiences and capabilities.
- Turn data into action. Measure campaign and channel performance, uncover insights, and translate what you learn into clear recommendations and next steps.
- Competitive review and reporting. Track performance against key KPIs, understand customer and competitive trends, and contribute to annual strategic marketing planning.
- Collaborate across the business. Work with a broad network of partners - including Marketing, Servicing, Technology, Legal, Compliance, external agencies, and other teams - to bring ideas to life.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who is curious, collaborative, proactive, and excited to make an impact.
You’ll be a strong fit if you:
Take initiative and enjoy owning projects from concept through implementation and evaluation.
Are comfortable challenging the status quo and looking for smarter, more effective ways of doing things.
Can balance multiple priorities while staying organized and detail-oriented in a fast-moving environment.
Enjoy using data and insights to solve problems and make decisions.
Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with different teams and stakeholders.
Bring a customer-first mindset and an interest in creating experiences that are useful, relevant, and engaging.
Are comfortable working with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Bring 2+ years of experience in Marketing, Product Management, or a related area.
Have a university degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
The stated salary range represents the expected compensation for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
