Job Description
Reporting to the Manager, Financial ERP, the D365 Business System Analyst is responsible to identify and drive the successful delivery of enhancement opportunities in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (Finance & Operations) module. The D365 Analyst will work in direct collaboration with end-users to translate business requirements into solutions, and with the IT ERP team to match needs to system possibilities and for developments.

Job Description
Reporting to the Manager, Financial ERP, the D365 Business System Analyst is responsible to identify and drive the successful delivery of enhancement opportunities in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (Finance & Operations) module. The D365 Analyst will work in direct collaboration with end-users to translate business requirements into solutions, and with the IT ERP team to match needs to system possibilities and for developments.
What you’re responsible for:
- Obtain a deep understanding of the accounting operations performed in D365, the system configuration and how D365 integrates with other AIM systems.
- Diagnose current weaknesses and opportunities in the system configuration and processes to improve efficiency, financial information accuracy, and controls. Gather business needs from users and by leveraging best practices.
- Identify and assess options to address each weakness/opportunity and provide a recommendation on the solution to select. For options requiring development, work alongside the IT ERP team.
- Evaluate the impacts, criticality, and feasibility of the enhancements and recommend prioritization of the improvements within the D365 F&O project portfolio.
- Gather Finance requirements and prepare functional specifications that accurately translate requirements into system configuration and/or process changes. Share the specifications to the IT ERP team for developments.
- Support all phases of a project life cycle including as-is analysis, design of target state, fit-gap analysis, configuration, testing, end-user training, deployment, post go-live support and maintenance, documentation, etc.
- Act as primary point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for the D365 F&O module on projects and support to Finance users.
- Work with external/internal configuration specialists and multidisciplinary project teams on larger-scale, more complex projects, including new systems being integrated to D365 and the implementation of new modules.
- Contribute to building a roadmap for the system evolution to better support Finance operational needs, improve financial accuracy and accounting compliance, as well as enhance system controls.
To join our team:
- CPA Designation or CPA candidate, an asset
- Minimum 2-3 years of work experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting operations and principles.
- Experience working in a Financial ERP (Experience with Microsoft D365 F&O, an asset)
- Experience in delivering financial system enhancements (an asset)
- Self-driven and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Strong ownership of work, result-driven and high standards to work efficiently and deliver high-quality deliverables.
- Exceptional organisational skills and high autonomy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and strong change agent
- Ability to effectively work with various types of stakeholders (ex. end users, IT, senior management)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
- Bilingual (French & English)

Responsibilities
Analyze Finance operations and D365 F&O configuration to identify improvement opportunities, gather requirements, recommend solutions, and prepare functional specifications. Support projects throughout their lifecycle, coordinate with IT and other stakeholders on enhancements and integrations, and serve as the Finance users’ D365 subject matter expert.
Requirements
Requires at least 2–3 years of experience, strong accounting knowledge, and experience with a financial ERP; D365 F&O experience and a CPA designation or candidacy are assets. Candidates should be self-driven, organized, analytical, effective communicators, able to manage multiple priorities, and bilingual in French and English.
