Reporting into the Site Manager, the Site Supervisor will supervise, lead and control, in part, operational tasks relating to the yard. They will respond effectively to quality and productivity and health and safety requirements. They will see to the planning of operations and collaborate with management to continuously optimize and improve processes.

Reporting into the Site Manager, the Site Supervisor will supervise, lead and control, in part, operational tasks relating to the yard. They will respond effectively to quality and productivity and health and safety requirements. They will see to the planning of operations and collaborate with management to continuously optimize and improve processes.
What you're responsible for:
- Setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates
- Organizing workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
- Monitoring employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
- Maintaining timekeeping and personnel records
- Sharing information from upper management to employees and vice versa
- Preparing and submit performance reports
- Ensuring adherence to legal and company policies and procedures
- Undertaking disciplinary actions if the need arises
- Leading by example as a hands-on manager

- You have previous experience as supervisor
- You have experience in metal scrap industry (considered an asset)
- You have knowledge of different commercial trucks and forklifts
- You have the ability to learn a variety of job descriptions
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- You have outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- You have good knowledge of Outlook, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
- You always strive for excellence and constant improvement

Supervise and lead yard operations, setting goals, organizing workflows, monitoring productivity, and coaching employees. Maintain personnel records, report on performance, enforce company and legal requirements, and collaborate with management to improve operations.
Requirements
Previous supervisory experience is required; experience in the metal scrap industry is an asset. Candidates should understand commercial trucks and forklifts, be able to learn varied job duties, demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills, and have knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office applications.
