Is detail-oriented and committed to delivering accurate, high-quality estimates.
Communicates effectively with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Can manage multiple opportunities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Is proactive, self-motivated, and focused on continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

As an Applications Specialist (Panel Estimator), you will:

Prepare detailed material, labour, and cost estimates for custom control panel projects, including PLC, HMI, VFD, P&C, and automation systems.
Review customer specifications, electrical drawings, and scope documents to develop accurate quotations.
Select and price electrical components while ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Work closely with engineering and operations teams to develop practical and cost-effective panel solutions.
Solicit and evaluate supplier quotations for components and equipment.
Identify scope gaps, technical risks, and value-engineering opportunities during the quotation process.
Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders during the bid and proposal stage.
Maintain estimating tools, historical costing data, and vendor pricing to ensure competitive and accurate proposals.
Support project handoff activities following award to ensure a seamless transition into fabrication and execution.

What You'll Bring

3+ years of estimating, applications, design, or project experience related to industrial control panels and automation systems.
Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or a related field considered an asset.
Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, VFD, MCC, P&C, instrumentation, and industrial control systems.
