Position Summary
We are seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to join our IT Applications team. This role will establish a secure, scalable, governed, and business-driven data foundation across ERP, MES, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, finance, and other enterprise applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming toward a modern enterprise data platform, enabling trusted enterprise analytics, operational intelligence, automation, and future AI capabilities.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Architecture
- Design scalable data architecture across ERP, MES, applications, databases, APIs, files, and manufacturing data sources.
- Establish standards for data integration, modeling, storage, movement, and consumption.
- Design enterprise data models, dimensional models, canonical models, and semantic models.
- Establish architecture standards for Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and related technologies.
- Develop architecture patterns supporting multiple manufacturing locations and future global expansion.
Data Governance & Master Data
- Establish and continuously improve the Enterprise Data Governance framework, including:
- Data ownership and stewardship
- Data domains, definitions, and business glossaries
- Metadata management, data catalog, and data lineage
- Data classification, retention, and lifecycle managementData governance policies, standards, and operating model
- Data quality monitoring and remediation
Work closely with business stakeholders to establish a single source of truth for critical enterprise KPIs and data elements.
Align master data validation and reconciliation across ERP, MES, and enterprise systems.
Data Security, Privacy & Compliance
- Design and implement enterprise data security architecture, including:
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Workspace and database security
- Row-Level Security (RLS) and column-level security where applicable
- Data classification, sensitive data protection, and access management
- Data loss prevention (DLP), auditability, and security monitoring
- Data access reviews and compliance requirements
Partner with IT Security, Compliance, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders to protect data while keeping it accessible to authorized users.
Support audit-ready data security controls and access governance.
Automation, Data Quality & Operational Intelligence
- Develop automation capabilities using APIs, workflow automation, automated notifications, data quality alerts, access workflows, approval workflows, monitoring, and exception management.
- Establish a data quality framework covering:
- Completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness
- Duplicate detection
- Master data validation and reconciliation
- Data quality dashboards, automated exception reporting, and root-cause analysis
Qualifications
- BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in data architecture, data engineering, analytics architecture, or related discipline.
- Strong experience designing enterprise data architecture.
- Strong Microsoft Azure data platform experience.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric: OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory.
- Strong experience with Azure SQL / SQL Server and strong SQL skills.
- Strong experience with Power BI and enterprise semantic models, including DAX, RLS, and Direct Lake.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with data integration, ETL/ELT, APIs, data pipelines, and orchestration.
- Experience with data governance, data security, lineage, metadata, data cataloging, and data quality.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and enterprise access controls.
- Experience with iPass (i.e. Boomi, MuleSoft) or similar workflow automation and integration technologies.

The base salary range for this position is $133,000 - $150,000 annually. In determining the rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would be rare for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a given role. Base salary is one facet of Amphenol's total rewards package which includes participation in our comprehensive benefits program with medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, life insurance, short/long term disability, and membership in our Defined Contribution Pension Plan.
