ABOUT THE ROLE
The Groundsperson plays a key role in supporting the safe, efficient, and productive operation of the aggregate site. This position is responsible for maintaining site cleanliness, assisting with plant and equipment maintenance activities, supporting material handling and production processes, and ensuring work areas remain safe and operational. Working closely with operations, maintenance, and production teams, the Groundsperson contributes to overall site performance by identifying issues, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining high standards of safety, housekeeping, and environmental stewardship. In this role, you will report to the Mines Manager and work collaboratively with the Aggregates team.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

Operate company vehicles and light mobile equipment, including skid steers and other equipment as required.
Contribute to preventative maintenance and site improvement initiatives that enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Identify, communicate, and help resolve operational, equipment, and housekeeping concerns before they impact production.
Support environmental compliance by maintaining site standards and minimizing waste, spills, and environmental risks.
Foster a positive team environment through collaboration, communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

Required Technical Experience: Ability to safely operate hand and power tools. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Experience operating light mobile equipment is an asset. Ability to complete inspections and basic documentation

Additional Requirements:

Capable of performing physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, and working on uneven terrain.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions throughout the year.

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
