ABOUT THE ROLE

The Land and Resource Coordinator is a development-focused role that provides broad exposure across Amrize’s businesses, including aggregates, ready-mix concrete, concrete products, and asphalt, while developing a strong understanding of the Land & Resource function.

This role offers an end-to-end perspective of how natural resources are identified, secured, developed, managed, and ultimately transformed into products. The Land and Resource Coordinator will work closely with the Land and Resource Manager and cross-functional teams and gain experience in land management, resource development, permitting, strategic planning, field operations, data analysis, and stakeholder relations.

The successful candidate is highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. They are comfortable supporting multiple projects and priorities, working with technical and business information, and developing the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to the long-term needs of the business.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

Property Management: Support land acquisition and divestment projects through due diligence, exploration, evaluation, assessment, and related activities to help secure and optimize the company’s land and mineral resources.
Licensing & Permitting: Support the acquisition, renewal, maintenance, and compliance tracking of land- and resource-related licenses and permits across the aggregates, ready-mix concrete, asphalt, and concrete products businesses.
Agreements: Assist with the preparation, review, and administration of land- and resource-related agreements that support current operations and the company’s short- and intermediate-term growth objectives.
Fieldwork: Conduct drone surveys, and support field investigations, testing, site assessments, drilling programs, and resource evaluation activities. Assist with the collection, organization, and review of field data to support resource and operational decisions.
Strategic Planning: Prepare data, analysis, mapping, and other technical information to support the development of short- and long-term mining and rehabilitation plans, using GIS, drone survey, and other resource assessment tools.
Data Management: Organize and maintain accurate and reliable land and resource databases, records, and supporting documentation, including land ownership, leases, licenses, permits, resource information, and other critical property data.
Auditing and Reporting: Conduct cross-functional audits, inspections, and compliance activities and prepare accurate reports and documentation to help ensure regulatory requirements and company safety standards are consistently met.
Community & Government Relations: Support engagement with government agencies, local organizations, Indigenous, and other key community stakeholders by preparing information, coordinating communications, and assisting with project-related activities.
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (CET), or a related field. Preferred field of study: Resource Management, Architecture, Real Estate, or other land-related fields.

Required Work Experience: 2–4 years of experience in geomatics, permitting and agreement administration, geotechnical work, or a related discipline.

Required Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and working knowledge of GIS and mapping tools (e.g., Google Earth) and AutoCAD. Experience with drone operation is considered an asset.

Licensing: Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence. Basic drone/RPAS certification is considered an asset.

Travel Requirements: Up to 40% (local and out of province).

Additional Requirements:

Knowledge of and experience in interpreting rules, laws, agreements, and contracts related to property issues, real estate matters, building & zoning, water rights, reclamation, and associated issues.
Experience in coordinating consultant services, and maintaining schedules.
Possess a working knowledge of land use principles, real estate management, geology, and civil engineering.
Solid project management skills with ability to set priorities and complete multiple tasks in accordance with deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong independent problem solving and analytical skills, solutions oriented.
Disciplined and process-oriented, demonstrates ability to get results.
Works well on teams – demonstrates leadership ability, influence without authority.
Ability to represent Amrize at community meetings, government functions, and to local trade associations.
Must be willing to occasionally work evenings to attend hearings and meetings.
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
