Original job description

Job description:

Your experience at ANDRITZ

From day one, you will take part in hands-on activities across the procurement cycle. Guided by experienced professionals, you will contribute to requests for quotation, bid analysis, purchase order follow-up, and communication with suppliers and project teams. You will gradually build confidence and independence while developing your professional judgment.

Your day-to-day challenges

Explore project needs and gather information with engineering and project teams;
Identify suppliers and help prepare requests for quotation;
Compare bids and highlight key differences to support decisions;
Build familiarity with purchase orders by preparing and updating them under supervision;
Track purchase order progress, required documents, and delivery dates with suppliers;
Help information move smoothly and contribute to resolving routine supplier questions;
Collaborate with Accounts Payable to understand invoice processing and reconciliation;
Discover SAP, LMS, and other internal tools while supporting follow-ups, changes, and urgent purchases;
Prepare useful updates and collaborate across teams to keep projects moving.

What you will develop

A practical understanding of the procurement cycle on major hydropower projects;
Commercial analysis, bid comparison, and supplier follow-up skills;
Hands-on experience with SAP, LMS, and tracking tools;
A professional network across engineering, projects, quality, finance, and suppliers.

You may be the person we are looking for if…

You are studying engineering, operations management, supply chain, or business administration;

You enjoy researching, understanding, and turning information into action;

You are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with changing priorities;

You bring initiative, curiosity, and a team mindset;

You use Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel confidently;

You communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating;

You are proficient in spoken and written English and French.

A plus, but not a requirement

Ability to read shop or mechanical drawings;
Knowledge of or interest in negotiation and commercial analysis;
Familiarity with SAP or another enterprise resource planning system;
Interest in energy, manufacturing, or supply chain.

Why choose this internship?

Work on real hydropower projects that contribute to the energy transition;
Learn from experienced professionals who will support your growth;
Collaborate across teams and start building your professional network;
Grow in a flexible, welcoming, and learning-focused environment, subject to the terms applicable to the internship.
