Original job description
About Antara Allied Health Services Inc.
Antara is a growing, human-centred speech-language pathology practice delivering play-based, evidence-informed therapy to children, youth, and adults across the Lower Mainland. We meet clients where they are: in homes, daycares, preschools, schools, and select virtual sessions. Our culture is collaborative and non-hierarchical, and we value emotional intelligence, teamwork, and client-first care.
About the Role
Antara Allied Health Services Inc. is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join our pediatric-focused practice as an independent contractor. You'll provide in-home, daycare/community, and virtual therapy sessions for a diverse caseload, with flexibility to build a schedule that works for you. We're happy to start with a few hours a week, with room to grow your hours as your caseload builds.
Area of Practice
Speech sound and language disorders, apraxia, social and pragmatic communication, stuttering, AAC, autism and developmental conditions, voice, cognitive-communication, accent modification, and more. Experience in some of these is enough; we’ll support growth in others.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and implement individualized treatment plans
- Deliver sessions in client homes, daycare/community settings, and via tele practice
- Coach parents, caregivers, educators, and school staff
- Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation of client progress
- Potentially provide clinical supervision to SLP Assistants (SLPAs)
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Behaviour Consultants, and other professionals as needed
Requirements
- Current full registration as a Speech Language Pathologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC)
- Active registration with the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP) is an asset
- Clean Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector)
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a broader clinical team
Compensation & Structure
- Independent contractor position
- $90–$115/hour depending on experience
- All therapy materials and resources will be provided
- Flexible scheduling - mix of in-person and virtual sessions is available

Perks
- Access to professional development courses and opportunities
- Regular team building activities
