Original job description

Who We Are

Hi! We’re AntiSocial, a social-first digital marketing agency powered by people who love to create. Our work spans industries and disciplines, from conceptual campaigns and strategic media plans to creator partnerships, influencer strategies, and content production for leading brands around the world. As part of the Thinkingbox family, we bring creativity, collaboration, and innovation to everything we do. At AntiSocial, you’ll join a diverse and talented team that delivers bold campaigns and innovative solutions for some of the world’s top brands. Our culture is one of collaboration, creativity, and connection. Whether it’s brainstorming with colleagues, hanging out with our office dogs, or enjoying monthly events, we keep our work environment vibrant, inclusive, and fun.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Community Manager to join our team. You'll be the voice behind some exciting gaming and entertainment brands, building engaged online communities and creating meaningful connections with passionate audiences.

The ideal candidate is social-obsessed, culturally curious, and always plugged into what's happening online. You understand internet culture, know how to adapt your tone of voice for different audiences, and have a knack for turning everyday interactions into opportunities for engagement. You'll work closely with our social, creative, and strategy teams to bring brands to life through authentic conversations, proactive engagement, and community insights.

This role is also a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in social strategy, with the chance to support social listening, audience insights, trend research, and campaign planning, and grow into a Social Strategist role over time.

What You'll Be Doing

Manage day-to-day community engagement across social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, Reddit, and Discord
Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, mentions, and conversations in a timely, thoughtful, and brand-appropriate way
Develop and maintain authentic brand voices, adapting tone and messaging across different clients and audiences
Build relationships with passionate fan communities, creators, influencers, and brand advocates through meaningful engagement
Identify opportunities for brands to participate in relevant cultural moments, gaming conversations, trends, and online communities
Support social campaigns, product launches, activations, and always-on content programs in collaboration with social, creative, and account teams
Monitor online sentiment, flag potential issues, and escalate sensitive conversations or reputational risks when needed
Track community performance, engagement metrics, and audience sentiment, translating findings into actionable insights and recommendations
Support the strategy team with social listening, audience research, competitive analysis, and trend identification
Contribute to brainstorms, campaign planning, strategy presentations, and reporting, bringing forward ideas informed by community insights and audience behaviours
Stay up to date on platform changes, gaming culture, internet trends, and evolving community management best practices

What You'll Bring

2+ years of experience in community management, social media, or a related digital marketing role, ideally within an agency environment
A strong understanding of social media platforms, online communities, and how audiences engage with brands
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write engaging, clever, and on-brand responses
A natural ability to adapt your tone of voice across different brands, audiences, and platforms
A genuine passion for internet culture, gaming, entertainment, fandom, and what's happening online
An understanding of what makes fan-driven communities tick and how brands can participate in those spaces authentically
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and communities at once
Experience using social media management and listening tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, or similar platforms
Good judgment when handling sensitive conversations, customer concerns, or potential brand issues
A proactive, collaborative mindset and the ability to spot opportunities without always being asked
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative agency environment where priorities can shift quickly

Bonus Points!

Experience playing Magic: The Gathering is a plus
Experience working with gaming, entertainment, fantasy, or pop culture brands
An interest in trading card games, tabletop gaming, fantasy worlds, collectibles, or gaming communities
Familiarity with fan-driven marketing, product launches, or community-focused campaigns
A passion for storytelling, world-building, and creating work that resonates with dedicated audiences

Additional Info

Monday - Thursday in office (Fridays are remote optional)
Flexible time off, including paid vacation and sick days
Consistent culture and team-building events
Employee recognition and incentive programs
Seasonal celebrations and gatherings throughout the year
Office lunches
Branded company swag
Access to industry events, learning opportunities, and non-profit outreaches
Dog-friendly offices

Equal Opportunity

At AntiSocial, we’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered to thrive. We believe that diversity is our creative strength - it's the range of perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds that fuels our best ideas and most innovative solutions. We welcome and encourage applicants of all races, ethnicities, genders, identities, abilities, ages, sexual orientations, and backgrounds to apply. Your voice matters here.

To Apply

Thank you for your interest in joining our team. Please submit your resume along with links to your online portfolio as part of your application (if applicable). Due to the volume of applications we receive, we’re unable to respond to every submission. However, all applications are kept in our talent database and will be considered for future opportunities.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. If you would like more information about how your data is processed, please contact us.

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as internal equity, candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role. If your compensation expectations fall outside of this range, we still welcome your application.
