Do you have a talent for planning and organizing? Are you interested in learning pension administration? Are you looking to work on long-term projects for leading Canadian plans? Aon has the opportunity you have been waiting for!

Aon is looking for a Project Manager for our solutions team within pension administration. The team works together to implement solutions for clients and manage internal projects. This is an outstanding opportunity for a candidate looking to familiarize themselves with pension administration OR an experienced pension administration colleague with proven project management abilities.

This can be a hybrid or virtual role with occasional visits to our Montreal or Toronto offices, as well as Canadian clients.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What The Day Will Look Like

The Project Manager works closely with clients and internal teams:

Develop, maintain and implement a clear project management plan, including planning, execution and control.
Direct and coordinate project activities, results and schedule
Help to build an integrated project timeline, which includes the entire scope of the project, to effectively get results by leveraging the client, project team, and leadership
Collaborate with stakeholders and review the schedule, status reports, issues, and mitigation plans
Identify variances, work with SMEs to develop proposed corrective action plans, and immediately bring up project variance to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
Control scope by implementing and monitoring a change control process and support the team with project management

How This Opportunity Is Different

Our highly collaborative team drives innovation through ideas and implementation of solutions that allow an enhanced digital member experience and more efficient internal processing. You will work on exciting projects which help to redefine the Canadian pension administration services.

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

The Project Manager is an extremely detailed self-starter, can self-manage their workload and projects, and adapt to the audience and evolving priorities.

Bachelor's degree (preferably in project management, business administration, math, finance), or equivalent work experience
PMP certification or intention to acquire it within 12 months of hire
5-7 years of project management experience, an asset, or relevant pension and benefits administration experience
A persuasive communicator who can influence, and negotiate. Has a track record of being able to influence indirect parties and shared services functions to accomplish client objectives
Exhibits leadership and decisiveness under ambiguous circumstances, can create a positive and collaborative environment; encourages information sharing with team members and uses their strengths.
Proactive, customer-centric, open to learning and adaptable
Demonstrates organizational skills
French-English bilingualism is required due to frequent interactions with customers and partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and internationally.
