The Extrusion Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the aluminum extrusion department, ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of aluminum profiles in accordance with customer specifications. This role involves managing a team of operators and maintaining safety and quality standards, optimizing production schedules, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The Extrusion Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the aluminum extrusion department, ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of aluminum profiles in accordance with customer specifications. This role involves managing a team of operators and maintaining safety and quality standards, optimizing production schedules, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and organize daily extrusion activities to meet production goals and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages or delays.
- Organize, monitor, and control stock levels, working closely with supply chain and warehouse teams.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to guide production processes.
- Direct and oversee quality control inspections to ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Plan and implement changes to machinery, equipment, production systems, and work methods to improve productivity and safety.
- Develop and oversee equipment maintenance schedules and recommend repair or replacement of machinery when needed.
- Develop and manage production schedules and duty assignments to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Evaluate daily operations to identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and improve machine reliability.
- Hire, supervise, and train - or oversee the training of - employees on new equipment, production techniques, and safety procedures.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through coaching, process optimization, and performance management.
- Support and enforce health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations.
- Develop, manage, and control the departmental budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication skills across multiple channels.
- In-depth understanding of extrusion processes and Strong knowledge of materials handling.
- Understanding of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Competency in workforce planning, shift scheduling, and coordinating team duties.
- Analytical skills to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
- Ability to remain focused under high pressure situations.
