Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Inspect, examine, and troubleshoot equipment to find and investigate problems or breakdowns and to ensure that safety and quality standards are met
- The incumbent will perform a variety of duties which include installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production facility equipment
- Responsible for maintenance of electrical devices and components found in an aluminum extrusions manufacturing facility
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, or rebuilding hydraulics, pumps, pneumatic valves, and seals.
- Responsible for engaging in manufacturing support activities connected with the setup, installation and maintenance of production and related equipment.
- Ability to install, dismantle, reassemble, replace, calibrate, repair, adjust, fabricate, lubricate, and maintain, systems and equipment as assigned
- Follow a Preventative Maintenance schedule
- Inspect electrical components for identifying defects, hazards, and/or need of repairs
- Perform equipment adjustments and changeovers as required
- Ability to work through a shift rotation including weekends
- Other duties, as assigned
- 3rd or 4th Year Ticketed Millwright
- Basic knowledge of construction process from material selection, techniques, tools and equipment to quality assurance, and safety.
- Knowledge of scissor lift, boom lift, various sizes of forklift and other lifting equipment.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment is considered an asset
- Strong Safety background
- Basic welding skills: MIG, TIG, ARC, and Gas Welding will be considered an asset
- Be a proficient trouble shooter of mechanical system

Responsibilities
Inspect and troubleshoot production equipment, and install, repair, adjust, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems in an aluminum extrusion manufacturing facility. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, equipment changeovers, and manufacturing support activities while meeting safety and quality standards.
Requirements
Applicants must be a third- or fourth-year ticketed millwright with a strong safety background and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems. Manufacturing experience, knowledge of lifting equipment, and basic MIG, TIG, arc, or gas welding skills are assets.
