Account Manager - Retail

Overview

Our client is seeking a Retailer Account Associate to join a growing Retail Success team focused on supporting and strengthening relationships with retail partners. This role serves as a key point of contact for retailer inquiries, helping resolve operational issues, improve retailer experiences, and ensure long-term success through exceptional account support.

Start date: ASAP.

Duration: 6 months

Office Location: Toronto

Hybrid: preferred on weekly basis

Apex pay scales are determined by role, experience, skill set, and location. For this new position, the estimated hourly range is provided below as a guideline; however, total compensation may vary based on individual circumstances.

Hourly Range: $20.00- $30.00/HR CAD (T4)

Key Responsibilities

Retailer Support & Account Management

Manage and respond to a high volume of inbound retailer inquiries through Jira and other support channels.
Investigate and resolve retailer questions, issues, and requests using established processes and internal tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams via Jira, Slack, email, and other communication channels to deliver timely solutions.
Support retailer partners by identifying opportunities to improve their business performance and operational effectiveness.
Educate retailer teams on available tools, resources, and best practices.
Address operational, logistical, and compliance-related inquiries to ensure retailer success and satisfaction.
Identify growth opportunities and retailer needs, documenting insights and sharing recommendations with internal stakeholders.
Build strong, trusted relationships with retail partners through proactive and customer-focused support.

Process Improvement & Documentation

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across Jira, Salesforce, and other internal systems.
Ensure data integrity and consistency across retailer accounts and support activities.
Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and recurring issues, escalating concerns when appropriate.
Create and maintain internal documentation, support playbooks, knowledge articles, and training materials.
Contribute to the development of scalable workflows that improve consistency, efficiency, and the overall retailer experience.
Support reporting efforts and help monitor operational performance metrics.
Explore opportunities to leverage AI tools, automation platforms, and workflow enhancements to improve team productivity and support operations.

Required Qualifications

1+ years of experience in account management, customer success, sales support, client services, or a related B2B support role.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Demonstrated problem-solving ability and comfort navigating ambiguity.
Experience collaborating cross-functionally to resolve client issues and improve processes.
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Calendar).
Experience using collaboration and productivity tools such as Slack, Jira, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional support experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in B2B account management, customer success, sales support, or retailer support environments.
Experience working within retail, grocery, consumer products, e-commerce, or related industries.
Familiarity with technical onboarding, platform support, or operational account support.
Experience creating process documentation, playbooks, training guides, or knowledge-base content.
Experience with CRM systems, ticketing platforms, and workflow management tools.
Exposure to AI-powered productivity tools, automation platforms, or workflow automation solutions.
