Conversational AI Business Analyst (P2)

Conversational AI Business Analyst, EmployeeWorks Platform

As a Conversational AI Business Analyst, EmployeeWorks Platform at McKesson, you will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, end users, platform engineering teams, and product leadership to design, prioritize, and deliver AI powered employee experiences on the ServiceNow and Moveworks platforms.

You will combine business analysis and product analysis skills to identify business opportunities, gather requirements, define features, and support the Product Owner in managing the backlog and driving delivery of conversational AI experiences that improve employee productivity and satisfaction.

Your primary mission is to transform employee and business needs into well defined product capabilities, AI workflows, and platform enhancements while ensuring alignment with McKesson's employee experience strategy and roadmap.

Core Responsibilities and Impact

Business Analysis and Requirements Management

Partner with HR, IT, Corporate Functions, ServiceNow teams, and business stakeholders to understand challenges, pain points, and opportunities:

Gather and document business requirements

Facilitate requirements workshops

Define business processes and user journeys

Create user stories and acceptance criteria

Analyze current and future state processes

Identify automation and AI opportunities

Feature Definition and Backlog Support

Support the Product Owner on feature definition and backlog refinement for EmployeeWorks:

Define business value and success criteria

Create and prioritize user stories

Maintain and groom the product backlog under the Product Owner's direction

Define MVP and release scope

Analyze enhancement requests and recommend disposition

Partner with stakeholders to gather and qualify demand for Product Owner prioritization

Balance strategic initiatives with operational needs

Conversational AI Experience Design

Work closely with Conversational AI Engineers and platform teams to design employee experiences using ServiceNow and Moveworks capabilities. Examples include:

HR self service experiences

Benefits and payroll support

PTO and leave workflows

Employee onboarding journeys

IT support experiences

Knowledge retrieval experiences and agentic AI workflows

Employee task automation and manager self service capabilities

Product Roadmap Support

Partner with the Product Owner, platform leaders, and engineering teams to shape the EmployeeWorks roadmap:

Identify feature opportunities and define business cases

Analyze adoption trends

Evaluate stakeholder requests

Recommend future enhancements

Support roadmap planning and quarterly prioritization

Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as a trusted partner to business stakeholders and technology teams:

Facilitate working sessions and present recommendations

Drive alignment on priorities

Manage competing requirements

Communicate release updates

Support executive reporting

AI Capability and Innovation Enablement

Stay current on emerging AI, agentic AI, ServiceNow, and Moveworks capabilities:

Understand platform capabilities and evaluate new features

Recommend innovative use cases

Identify process transformation opportunities

Support business case development

User Experience and Adoption

Partner with employees and stakeholders to understand user needs and continuously improve experiences:

Gather user feedback and analyze adoption metrics

Identify friction points

Recommend experience improvements

Support change management activities

Data and Insights

Leverage platform analytics and employee feedback to drive decision making:

Analyze usage trends and monitor adoption metrics

Identify experience gaps

Measure business value

Develop recommendations based on data

About You

You are naturally curious, analytical, and business focused. You enjoy understanding how employees work, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating business needs into technology solutions.

Product mindset. You think beyond requirements and focus on outcomes, adoption, business value, and user experience.

Strong business analysis skills. You excel at gathering requirements, understanding complex business processes, asking insightful questions, and documenting actionable recommendations.

AI curiosity. You are excited about emerging AI capabilities and understand how conversational AI can transform employee experiences.

Cross functional collaboration. You work effectively across business, product, engineering, UX, operations, and vendor teams.

Communication excellence. You can translate business needs into technical requirements and explain technical concepts in business terms.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Product Analyst, Product Manager, Digital Experience Analyst, or similar role.

Experience gathering and documenting business requirements for enterprise technology initiatives.

Experience managing product backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritization activities.

Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.

Experience working with cross functional teams including Product, Engineering, UX, Operations, and business stakeholders.

Ability to define features, business value, and measurable success criteria.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience evaluating technology solutions and translating business needs into product requirements.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ServiceNow, Moveworks, employee experience platforms, or digital workplace technologies.

Experience Supporting HR, IT, Or Employee Services Functions.

Familiarity with conversational AI, virtual agents, copilots, generative AI, or agentic AI capabilities.

Familiarity with user journey mapping, service design, and employee experience methodologies.

Experience supporting enterprise platform implementations or digital transformation programs.

Strong understanding of analytics, reporting, and adoption measurement.
