Job Description:

Role: IT Application Support Analyst - Senior (Site Reliability Engineering)

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technology professional to support and enhance business-critical enterprise applications within a modern Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) environment. You will play a key role in application reliability, cloud operations, CI/CD pipeline modernization, deployment automation, and production support. The role offers exposure to Azure cloud technologies, OpenShift container platforms, observability tools, and enterprise-scale DevOps practices while supporting highly visible and impactful technology initiatives.

Job Description:

Responsible for supporting application reliability, deployment automation, and operational excellence across multiple enterprise platforms. Works closely with development, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical applications and services.

Build, support, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Participate in enterprise pipeline modernization initiatives and deployment automation projects.
Manage and optimize application deployments across multiple environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve application, infrastructure, and deployment-related issues.
Monitor system health, performance metrics, alerts, and application availability.
Support incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution activities.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improve platform reliability and scalability.
Support containerized applications running within OpenShift environments.
Assist with cloud-based application support and Azure platform services.
Define and improve observability, monitoring, telemetry, logging, and alerting capabilities.
Participate in on-call support rotations and service recovery activities as required.
Support operational automation, AIOps initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
Develop and maintain operational procedures, technical documentation, and support processes.
Ensure solutions align with security standards, service level objectives (SLOs), and operational best practices.
Act as an escalation point for complex application and production support issues.

Key Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, Application Support, or related technical roles.
Strong Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting experience.
Experience supporting Windows and Solaris environments.
Hands-on experience with OpenShift (OCP) and containerized platforms.
Experience working with Azure cloud technologies.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.
Experience with Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions.
Working knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, and production support workflows.
Knowledge of Autosys or comparable enterprise scheduling tools.
Experience with Bash, Shell, Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
Understanding of application security, authentication, secrets management, and secure deployment practices.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and application infrastructure.
Experience with incident response, problem management, and operational support processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience troubleshooting Java-based applications.
JavaScript or additional scripting and automation experience.
Exposure to AIOps, automation frameworks, and operational intelligence tools.
Cloud, DevOps, or platform-related certifications.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments.

Pay Rate: $40-$44/hr (T4)
