Junior Full Stack Developer

Location: GTA - Hybrid

Job Type: Contract

Overview

Our team is seeking an early-career Full Stack Developer who is passionate about building scalable web applications and learning modern software development practices. In this role, you'll develop user-facing applications with React and Node.js, create backend services using Java and Spring Boot, and work with MySQL databases. You'll also gain exposure to cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure, automated deployment processes, and collaborative Agile development environments.

This position is ideal for someone looking to expand their technical skills while contributing to meaningful business applications.

Required Qualifications

• Up to 2 years of software development experience through work, internships, co-op placements, or personal projects.
• Foundational knowledge of Java and Spring Boot application development.
• Experience building or supporting applications using React and Node.js.
• Understanding of relational database concepts and SQL, preferably with MySQL.
• Familiarity with source control tools such as Git.
• Interest in modern DevOps practices, including automated build and deployment pipelines.
• Exposure to cloud platforms and container technologies such as Azure and Docker.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit or Jest.
• Knowledge of API design standards and documentation tools like OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Understanding of secure coding principles and application security fundamentals.
• Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
