Job Description

Apex Systems is seeking an experienced Power Platform & UiPath Solutions Architect to join a large financial services organization supporting an enterprise automation and platform engineering function.

This is a senior, hands-on architecture and governance role focused on helping shape and govern enterprise automation solutions across Microsoft Power Platform and UiPath. The successful candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of the Power Platform ecosystem, combined with experience designing and governing UiPath solutions.

This is not a traditional Power Platform developer role. The consultant will work with business and technology stakeholders to take raw business use cases, assess technical feasibility, define the appropriate automation approach, develop solution designs, and establish the governance required to move solutions safely into production.

The role requires someone who is equally comfortable diving into technical architecture and integrations as they are presenting solution recommendations to Senior Directors and other executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide solution architecture, technical design, and governance across Microsoft Power Platform and UiPath initiatives.
  • Support an enterprise-wide Power Platform hub-and-spoke model, helping establish standards and enable teams across the organization.
  • Evaluate business use cases and determine the appropriate automation technology, architecture, feasibility, scope, and implementation approach.
  • Participate in Design Council discussions to review proposed automation solutions and provide architectural guidance.
  • Create High-Level Design (HLD) documentation for automation solutions.
  • Design end-to-end technical solutions, including custom APIs and integrations between Power Platform and enterprise systems.
  • Architect solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Microsoft Dataverse.
  • Design integrations with technologies including Azure API Management (APIM), Service Principals (SPNs), Dynamics, and SharePoint.
  • Provide architectural and governance oversight for UiPath, including solution design, feasibility assessments, and proof-of-concept support.
  • Establish and maintain technical standards, patterns, controls, and governance frameworks.
  • Conduct or support technical and architectural code reviews prior to production releases.
  • Partner cross-functionally with business, engineering, infrastructure, security, and other technology teams.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable automation solutions.
  • Present solution designs, recommendations, risks, and architectural decisions to Senior Director and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Support the continued expansion and maturity of the organization's enterprise automation capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience designing and architecting solutions across the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.
  • Advanced knowledge of:
    • Power Apps, including Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps
    • Power Automate
    • Power BI
    • Microsoft Dataverse
  • Experience designing enterprise integrations involving:
    • Azure API Management (APIM)
    • Service Principals
    • Microsoft Dynamics
    • SharePoint
    • Custom APIs
  • Strong experience with UiPath, particularly solution architecture, design, governance, feasibility assessments, and proofs of concept.
  • Demonstrated experience designing end-to-end enterprise automation solutions, rather than working solely from predefined technical requirements.
  • Experience creating technical architecture documentation and High-Level Design documents.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise platform governance, including development standards, design reviews, code reviews, security considerations, and production release controls.
  • Ability to evaluate an initial business problem or use case and independently determine the appropriate technical solution and automation approach.
  • Experience working across multiple technology and business teams to deliver complex enterprise solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to discuss technical solutions with both engineering teams and senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working within a large banking, financial services, or highly regulated enterprise environment.
  • Experience supporting a Power Platform Center of Excellence, hub-and-spoke model, or enterprise governance function.
  • Experience establishing reusable architecture patterns and governance standards across multiple development teams.
  • Experience supporting large-scale Robotic Process Automation (RPA) programs.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise security, access management, API integration, and production controls.
  • Prior experience working directly with executive-level design or architecture councils.

What Makes This Opportunity Exciting

This role offers the opportunity to have an impact beyond individual application development. The consultant will help influence how enterprise automation solutions are designed, governed, integrated, and deployed at scale across the Client environment.

You'll work across Power Platform and UiPath, partner with technical and business leaders on new automation use cases, and play an important role in shaping architecture and governance as the organization's UiPath capabilities continue to expand.

For someone who combines deep Power Platform expertise, UiPath architecture knowledge, and strong executive communication skills, this is an opportunity to operate at the intersection of hands-on technology, enterprise architecture, and automation strategy.
