Senior Conversational AI Engineer (P4)

Senior Conversational AI Engineer, EmployeeWorks Platform

As a Senior Conversational AI Engineer, EmployeeWorks Platform at Client, you'll be responsible for driving the success, adoption, and continuous evolution of AI powered employee experiences built on the ServiceNow and Moveworks platforms. You are a critical, high leverage technical leader who operates at the intersection of Digital Workplace, HR, Enterprise Architecture, ServiceNow, Security, Product Management, and Engineering.

Your primary mission is to translate complex employee and business process challenges into innovative, high impact conversational AI solutions. This role provides end to end ownership of technical success, enabling you to design, architect, build, deploy, tune, and optimize AI powered experiences while influencing platform strategy, architecture standards, and future roadmap decisions.

As a senior technical leader, you will not only deliver capabilities on the current platform but also help define how conversational AI, agentic AI, and enterprise automation capabilities evolve across Client.

Core Responsibilities and Impact

Full Stack Ownership

Partner deeply with business stakeholders throughout the complete lifecycle of conversational AI solutions on the ServiceNow and Moveworks platforms, including vision alignment, requirements discovery, solution architecture, design, build, implementation, tuning, testing, deployment, and adoption.

Advanced AI Solution Design

Architect, design, and consult with stakeholders to develop high impact conversational AI solutions that solve complex employee, HR, IT, and enterprise service challenges. Help teams leverage AI in innovative and meaningful ways to improve employee experiences and business outcomes.

Integration and Implementation

Design and implement secure, scalable, and high performing integrations between ServiceNow, Moveworks, Workday, ADP, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Entra ID, Okta, and other enterprise systems using modern integration and API patterns.

Platform and Product Partnership

Work closely with platform owners, Engineering, Architecture, ServiceNow, Moveworks, Security, and business teams on new capability rollouts. Influence platform direction by synthesizing stakeholder feedback, technical challenges, adoption insights, and enterprise requirements.

Architecture Standards and Design Review

Own the architecture standards, reference patterns, and design review process for conversational and agentic AI at Client. Approve solution designs before build, arbitrate technical trade offs across initiatives, and shape Client's long term conversational AI and agentic AI roadmap.

Technical Mentorship and Reusable Assets

Mentor Conversational AI Engineers through design reviews, code and configuration review, and pairing, and own the shared library of reusable prompts, agent patterns, integration components, and accelerators the team builds from. Lead efforts to improve AI responses, retrieval performance, workflow orchestration, prompt effectiveness, knowledge grounding, and context management.

About You

You are a highly technical generalist and builder with a deep understanding of enterprise systems, AI technologies, and large scale platform implementations. You combine strong engineering skills with strategic thinking and a relentless focus on delivering business value.

Technical acumen and curiosity mindset. You are a rapid learner with exceptional technical aptitude and a desire to understand both business and technical challenges. You naturally ask how something works, why it was built that way, and how it can be improved, and you enjoy diving deep into enterprise architectures, AI technologies, integrations, workflows, and emerging technologies.

Technical mastery. You possess deep expertise in:

Conversational AI architectures and Large Language Models
Prompt engineering, context engineering, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
Enterprise search and knowledge retrieval
API based systems integration and data modeling
ServiceNow platform architecture and Moveworks platform configuration
Workflow automation and identity and access management
Agentic AI architectures and enterprise AI governance

Product excellence obsession. You demonstrate strong product judgment and are passionate about creating intuitive, scalable, and impactful employee experiences, consistently balancing business needs, technical feasibility, and user experience.

Reusability and scale. You actively capture best practices, share successful patterns, and help transform solutions into reusable templates, frameworks, accelerators, and implementation standards.

Stakeholder partnership and communication. You build strong partnerships across technical and business teams and are skilled at developing architecture diagrams, technical designs, solution proposals, implementation roadmaps, product documentation, executive presentations, and demonstrations tailored to diverse audiences.

Strategic guidance and influence. You serve as a trusted technical advisor to stakeholders and leadership teams, helping navigate complex technical and organizational challenges while enabling teams to effectively leverage conversational AI and automation capabilities.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

8+ years of experience in software, platform, solutions, or ServiceNow engineering, solutions architecture, forward deployed engineering, or consulting engineering, including 3+ years designing and building conversational, generative, or agentic AI solutions, or an advanced degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated ability to operate across multiple business functions and technical domains with a strong ability to learn quickly and solve complex enterprise challenges.
Experience designing, building, and deploying conversational AI solutions, virtual agents, AI assistants, copilots, or enterprise automation platforms.
Strong experience designing and delivering full stack workflows, integrations, and automations using REST APIs, ServiceNow Flow Designer, Azure Functions, Workato, Power Platform, AWS services, or similar technologies.
Deep understanding of Large Language Models, prompt engineering, context engineering, retrieval strategies, AI orchestration, and enterprise AI architecture.
Hands on experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, Go, or similar technologies.
Proven ability to independently determine technical approaches, architecture patterns, and implementation strategies for complex cross functional initiatives.
Experience leading technical projects and coordinating cross functional teams while influencing stakeholders across multiple departments.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, security, identity management, authentication, and integration best practices.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands on experience with Moveworks platform implementation, administration, or configuration.
Experience with ServiceNow Virtual Agent, AI Search, Now Assist, Employee Center, Knowledge Management, and Flow Designer.
Experience implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, vector databases, knowledge orchestration, and agentic AI solutions.
Proven track record of driving adoption and value realization across medium to large enterprise deployments.
Strong understanding of enterprise knowledge management, search optimization, content governance, and AI data readiness practices.
Demonstrated passion for staying current with emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, and applying them thoughtfully to build scalable, reliable, and secure enterprise solutions.
