Why join Chubb Fire and Security? At Chubb Fire and Security Canada powered by API Group, we provide cutting-edge fire safety and security solutions to protect what matters to most to our clients across the nation. As a trusted leader in the fire and security industry, we have built a reputation for excellence, reliability, and innovation. Joining our team means being part of a leading provider of fire safety and security solutions, with opportunities for growth and advancement.

As Leaders, we recognize that our success happens only when our Branches and Field Leaders are successful. All of our people are foundational to creating value:

Protect people first
Think steps ahead
Own what we do
Bring energy to challenges
Win with integrity, together

Our mission is to go the extra mile for our customers and our industry. We lead the way in designing, delivering and supporting safe, reliable and innovative solutions.

Role Summary:

Our Life Safety Project Manager role is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone ready to own project execution from kickoff to closeout - protecting scope, schedule, quality, and customer outcomes. You’ll coordinate closely with our Technicians, Operations, and Sales team to ensure installations are delivered safely, to specification, and with the right support in the field.

If you perform best in fast-paced environments that value accountability, field engagement, and disciplined project delivery, this role was built for you.

Responsibilities:

Lead project kickoff meetings and align teams on scope, schedules, responsibilities, site requirements, and expectations.
Manage projects from award through closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to customer requirements.
Provide day-to-day direction and technical guidance to technicians and subcontractors, including regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
Review contracts, drawings, schematics, and specifications to identify scope gaps, coordinate installation requirements, and minimize rework.
Manage labour, materials, schedules, subcontractors, change orders, project costs, and margins across multiple active projects.
Coordinate material purchasing and delivery, site access, sequencing, inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, RFIs, meeting notes, change orders, test records, as-builts, and closeout documents.
Serve as the primary customer contact, providing proactive updates, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth project experience and handoff to service/warranty.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Design/Engineering, Operations, Service, customers, GCs, consultants, and AHJs to ensure successful project delivery.
Provide regular updates on project status, manpower, materials, milestones, financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with company policies, customer requirements, OH&S regulations, Alberta Building Code, and applicable ULC standards.
Coach and mentor field teams, reinforce accountability and best practices, and identify opportunities to improve project delivery.

Job Requirements

3+ years of experience managing installation projects in construction, life safety, or a related field; fire alarm project experience strongly preferred.
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, costs, and change orders in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with confidence leading meetings and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other PC-based applications.
Solid understanding of safety requirements on active construction sites and a commitment to safety-first practices.
Valid Alberta Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract.
Ability to achieve Restricted or Secret Government Clearance.
C.F.A.A. certification is an asset.
Project management training/designation (PMP or equivalent) and/or relevant industry certifications (e.g., CFAA/ASTT) are assets.

What You Bring

Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a collaborative, team-focused approach.
Results-driven with sound business judgment and financial awareness.
Adaptable and composed in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Professional, ethical, and accountable with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Our offerings include:

Competitive compensation and benefit package RRSP matching
