The Opportunity
d3h Hotels is looking for an exceptional business professional to join its leadership team as
Manager, Strategy & Executive Operations.
This is a newly created, high-potential role for someone who is exceptionally organized, intellectually curious, financially literate, and motivated by the opportunity to work closely with business owners on the priorities that shape an organization.
As d3h has grown, so too has the complexity of the work surrounding investor relations, financing, governance, acquisitions, executive reporting, and major strategic initiatives. The Executive Operations Manager will help bring greater structure, visibility, and follow-through to these priorities, allowing the Managing Partners to spend more time on decisions, relationships, and the future of the business.
Initially, the role will be heavily focused on learning the business, creating reliable systems, coordinating complex initiatives, and taking ownership of important recurring work. Over time, as trust and business knowledge grow, the opportunity is intended to evolve toward greater analysis, strategic insight, and executive contribution.
For the right person, this is much more than a job - it is an opportunity to learn the business from the inside, work alongside experienced entrepreneurs, and build toward a broader leadership role within d3h.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will work closely with the Managing Partners and leaders across the organization to keep important strategic priorities organized, visible, and moving forward.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating executive priorities, meetings, decisions, commitments, and follow-up.
- Taking ownership of recurring investor reporting, communications, records and information requests.
- Supporting the coordination of limited partnership, governance, and other complex corporate initiatives.
- Developing concise executive and portfolio reporting that helps leadership quickly understand what matters.
- Tracking key financing requirements, debt maturities, covenants, and related deadlines.
- Maintaining visibility over acquisition, development, and market opportunities.
- Conducting research and coordinating preliminary information and due diligence for potential opportunities.
- Working with internal leaders and external professionals including lawyers, accountants, lenders and advisors.
- Creating practical systems for important documents, deadlines, decisions, and institutional knowledge.
- Leading selected cross-functional projects that are important to the organization but don't naturally belong to one department.
- Looking for ways to improve processes and use technology, automation, and AI to make information, reporting, and workflows more effective when appropriate.
The intent is not simply to track tasks. As you learn the business, you will increasingly be expected to anticipate what leadership needs, identify issues and opportunities, and bring useful information and insight to the table.
What We’re Looking For
There is no single career path that leads to this opportunity, and direct hotel experience is not required.
We are more interested in finding someone with the intelligence, judgment, character, and potential to become exceptional in the role than someone who has already held the exact title.
The successful candidate will be:
- Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
- Naturally curious with a strong ability to learn.
- Proactive and comfortable taking ownership without waiting to be directed.
- Financially literate and comfortable interpreting business information and numbers.
- A strong writer and communicator who can distill complex information into something clear and useful.
- Comfortable working directly with owners, senior executives, investors, and professional advisors.
- Able to manage several priorities and complex projects at once without losing track of the details.
- Discreet and mature when handling confidential financial and strategic information.
- Low ego, collaborative, and willing to ask questions.
- Persistent about follow-through and comfortable holding others accountable.
- Tech-savvy and interested in using new tools, including AI and automation, to work more effectively.
- Someone who naturally thinks a few steps ahead.
Where You Might Come From
Strong candidates could come from finance or accounting, banking, corporate development, investment management, investor relations, management consulting, transaction advisory, legal or professional services, corporate strategy, executive operations, project/program management, or another sophisticated owner-managed business.
We are open-minded about background. What matters most is demonstrated ownership, judgment, learning ability, communication skills, and the capacity to grow.
Where This Role Can Go
This position has been intentionally designed with room to grow.
In the beginning, success will mean learning the business, creating order, building reliable systems, and becoming someone the Managing Partners can trust to take important work off their plates.
As that trust and business understanding develop, the role can expand into larger strategic initiatives, analysis, corporate development, executive decision support, and ultimately broader leadership.
Progression will be based on capability and contribution - not simply tenure. The long-term opportunity is for the right individual to become a trusted advisor to the Managing Partners and earn a meaningful seat at the table as the company continues to grow.
