Our client is seeking a
Senior Financial Analyst to join their Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, this role combines financial analysis, team leadership, budgeting, reporting, and cross-functional project leadership. You’ll have the opportunity to influence business decisions, improve financial processes, and lead a talented team.
What You’ll Do- Provide day-to-day support to a team of Financial Analysts, coordinating workloads, priorities, and deadlines.
- Analyze complex financial information and provide insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, with a focus on meaningful insights, automation, and improved self-service reporting.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process, coordinating timelines, consolidating submissions, and supporting business areas throughout the process.
- Monitor and report on headcount, salaries, benefits, forecasts, and trends, partnering with Payroll and HR to ensure accurate reporting.
- Participate in finance-related projects and initiatives, working cross-functionally to translate strategy into business requirements and solutions.
- Provide subject matter expertise on payment functions and point-of-sale systems and oversee Finance policies, processes, and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and develop innovative solutions to business challenges.
What You Bring- Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
- CPA designation (CA, CMA, or CGA)
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with increasing levels of responsibility
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial systems
- Demonstrated strength in data analysis, problem-solving, critical thinking, and developing actionable recommendations
- Proven ability to provide team leadership and lead cross-functional project resources
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder-management abilities
- A flexible, solutions-oriented approach with the ability to take on the unknown and develop practical business solutions
