Original job description
Description
The Canadian Strategic Growth Initiatives Lead will own our core strategic initiative portfolio and be responsible for the Canadian strategy and the plan of record. You will set the tone and direction for Canada, building the expertise needed to be fluent in each initiative; have the business acumen to deeply understand market relevance and impacts; foster relationships to secure buy-in and execution of your plan; communicate openly to provide context and feedback to global stakeholders; and focus on what matters most to drive the go-to-market approach, timing, and expectations. You recommend the sequencing and level of focus for each initiative in Canada, and you master the art of localization - knowing when and how to implement the global playbook for Canadian conditions, discerning when adaptation is warranted, and having the corporate communication skills to navigate those trade-offs. You know what the Canadian sales team needs to execute each initiative, evaluating whether what’s being produced is working, and advocating for better outcomes or support where gaps exist. You’ll work closely with account teams to ensure the initiatives translate into action at the partner and channel level.
Minimum Qualifications
6+ years of experience in business planning, strategy, program management, or cross-functional operations. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders without direct authority. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships across functions, geographies, and levels - up, down, and sideways. Track record of driving initiatives to completion through shifting priorities, competing demands, and organizational complexity. Strong business judgment - you can look at a portfolio of initiatives and make a defensible call on what matters most for this market. Comfort navigating ambiguity and standing up new processes where none existed before. Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, including experience developing and presenting strategic concepts to senior leadership. Demonstrated comfort using AI tools and automation as a core part of how you analyze data, build processes, and solve problems - with a genuine curiosity about how emerging AI capabilities can scale your impact. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working across or within Apple’s sales, marketing, or channel organizations. Track record of localizing global strategies for regional markets, ideally in a subsidiary or country-level role within a global organization. Familiarity with the consumer electronics industry, retail channel dynamics, or sales operations. Experience managing or influencing across multiple product categories or lines of business simultaneously. Experience using data and analytics tools (Excel, Tableau, or similar) to inform business decisions - you don’t need to be an analyst, but you can read a dashboard, interrogate a trend, and use data to make your case. Comfort presenting in worldwide or cross-geo business review forums, with experience tailoring a market narrative for senior and executive audiences. A flexible work style and approach based on business needs.
