Role : Business Analyst – Capital Markets / Financial Services
Location :📍 Toronto, ON
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Capital Markets / Financial Services expertise to support portfolio management, trading, and collateral-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze requirements from portfolio managers, middle office, and trading teams.
- Create functional specifications, process flows, and Agile user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Partner with Product Owners and Technology Leads to prioritize and refine backlogs.
- Break requirements into sprint-sized stories and support delivery.
- Facilitate business–technology discussions and manage risks, dependencies, and blockers.
- Communicate project status and findings to senior stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements and Agile best practices.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of Business Analysis experience in Capital Markets / Financial Services.
- Strong understanding of portfolio management and trade lifecycle.
- Excellent requirements gathering, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Agile/Scrum experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Data, or related field.
Nice to Have
- SQL/data analysis and validation.
- Bloomberg, Charles River, or BlackRock Aladdin experience.
- CSM/PSM certification.

Responsibilities

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in a related field and Agile/Scrum experience are required; SQL, financial platforms, and CSM/PSM certification are desirable.
